Lynda Chilstrom draws on 23 years of experience to expertly manage successful public relations and public affairs efforts for Goff Public’s clients.
Lynda monitors legislative proceedings and provides clients with up-to-the-minute information. As a registered lobbyist, she skillfully drafts legislation, prepares testimony and fact sheets for legislative hearings on behalf of clients, coordinates coalition efforts, and communicates clients’ positions with key decisions makers. Lynda also coordinates the writing, editing, design and printing of large-scale projects for Goff Public clients.
While at Goff Public, Lynda has coordinated successful multi-state lobbying efforts across the country and has managed major research and publication projects for a variety of clients.
Lynda coordinates multi-state lobbying efforts for Polaris Industries. Under her management from 2009-2011, 17 states have passed legislation updating the state’s ATV definition enabling Polaris’s newest, most innovative products to be registered and used on public land and state trails.
Lynda also provides legislative support and helps develop key messages for other clients, including Medco, Wirtz Beverage of Minnesota, and Hamline University, Concordia University-Saint Paul, and the University of Saint Thomas.
For the past 16 years, Lynda has skillfully coordinated the research, writing, design, and printing of the Saint Paul Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) annual market report. She has also generated grassroots community support for a Walmart store expansion in Minnesota and coordinated community outreach efforts for the light rail project along the central corridor between Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Event planning is also one of Lynda’s fortes. She organized the groundbreaking ceremony and two-day grand opening event for Fibrowatt’s first poultry litter-fueled power plant in the United States.
Lynda has an associate’s degree from the Minneapolis Business College and spends her free time completing home improvement projects and attending her three kids’ activities and sporting events. She is an active member of the North Branch Area Hockey Association.
