We have worked with Andersen to create the corporation’s public affairs website, which shares information about the company’s extensive sustainability practices and initiatives. We also launched a sustainability-focused blog, promoted a new steam plant that uses sawdust as a primary fuel source, and highlighted the company’s role in establishing a new compressed natural gas fuel station that reduces emissions and improves energy efficiency.

Blue Cross provides opportunities for its employees to learn about and engage with politics and government through an employee-operated program called CitizenBlue, which Goff Public helped develop in 2000 and has continued to help implement through strategic counsel and communications. With Goff Public’s help, CitizenBlue hosts regular nonpartisan events with political figures and provides employees with opportunities to participate in meaningful civic engagement activities. With more than 800 members, it has also served as a model for other companies striving to educate employees about the political system.

Catholic Charities provides food, shelter and support to tens of thousands of people in the Twin Cities every year. As the need for these critical services has continued to increase, Catholic Charities turned to Goff Public to raise awareness of the important role its existing Dorothy Day Center fills in Saint Paul while at the same time launch a new model to deliver care and housing via Higher Ground in Minneapolis. Goff Public developed a media strategy to highlight the Dorothy Day Center and Higher Ground and pitched media-friendly events which generated substantial coverage in major Twin Cities media outlets.
Goff Public helped launch and manage a coalition that succeeded in winning Congressional approval for a much-needed bridge less than a year after it began.
Goff Public helped develop the Coalition for the St. Croix River Crossing, an alliance of local elected officials, labor, business, and community members from Minnesota and Wisconsin who built support for a new bridge across the St. Croix River near Stillwater.
Goff Public helped coalition leaders create and execute an integrated communications plan to support efforts by Minnesota and Wisconsin elected officials to secure Congressional approval for the complex project. Further, we helped the coalition create key messages and communication materials with clear and consistent information, develop and manage a user-friendly website and social media tools, and coordinate ongoing media relations.
In less than a year, the coalition gained thousands of supporters and helped secure unprecedented bipartisan Congressional support for the St. Croix Crossing to allow a nationally significant project that had been stalled by opposition to move forward.

Over the past 12 years, we have helped Flint Hills enhance its reputation by proactively sharing stories with the media about its strong health and safety records, emissions reductions, environmental partnerships, and community giving.
As part of our work to raise awareness for Flint Hills’ community partnerships, we have developed and executed comprehensive public relations strategies for its partnerships with the Science Museum of Minnesota and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. We implemented social media campaigns and placed stories in media outlets across the state, successfully raising awareness for these important educational partnerships that benefit students and children statewide.
Goff Public has helped the three universities secure state funding for their teacher diversity programs for more than a decade.
Hamline, St. Thomas, and Concordia each have innovative programs to recruit, train and retain teachers of color and teachers in urban and urban-like settings. With Goff Public’s lobbying assistance, the three universities have worked together since 1999 to request state funding for their complementary efforts. Our lobbying team has helped them successfully secure funding in every budget cycle since then – even during state budget crises, when the universities anticipated the possibility of no funding, and despite two different governors threatening to eliminate their funding.

Koch Pipeline Company counts on Goff Public 24/7 for crisis communications assistance and has turned to us on other important projects.
Koch Pipeline Company owns or operates pipelines carrying crude oil, refined petroleum products, chemicals, and natural gas liquids in six states including Minnesota. Goff Public helps this important, behind-the-scenes organization stay prepared through crisis communications planning, and we are on standby 24/7 to help communicate with the media and key audiences in the event of a crisis. Goff Public also provides media training to Koch spokespeople across North America.
We also provided full-service public relations and public affairs assistance to the MinnCan Project – a 304-mile pipeline project to expand the Minnesota Pipeline system, which Koch Pipeline Company operates. With Goff Public’s help, MinnCan Project leaders communicated with 1,100 landowners in 13 Minnesota counties, met with media outlets all across the state, and secured the necessary government approvals.
Polaris has used Goff Public’s lobbying and lobbying support services for more than two decades to help promote sustainability in recreational vehicle use.
Polaris, the world’s largest side-by-side manufacturer, constantly works to promote ATV riding and places a high priority on proactive involvement in ATV and trail policies. Goff Public coordinates Polaris’s lobbying efforts in its home state of Minnesota and in states all across the country, working with policymakers to create sustainable ATV trails and ensure that new-model ATVs can be legally registered in states nationwide.
Through research and lobbying efforts in recent years, we have helped change Minnesota law to create a larger, environmentally friendly trail system and helped modernize ATV laws in 25 states from 2009-2012 alone.
