Eyes of the sports world on Saint Paul

There is a bit more traffic in downtown Saint Paul today.  Attorneys, satellite trucks, media crews, and other onlookers are spending time in and around the Warren E. Burger Federal Building & United States Courthouse.

U.S. District Court Judge Susan Nelson is hearing arguments from NFL players and owners.  The players want the court to issue an injunction to stop the lockout of players.  Each side says the other is violating anti-trust laws.

The judge’s decision will impact the ongoing negotiations between the players and the owners to save the 2011 NFL season.  In the meantime, we can watch to see how many Saint Paul landmarks make it into the background and how many times the courthouse location is listed as being in Minneapolis.
